About this app
Block distracting apps and websites — for the next half hour, through every meeting on your calendar, or every evening after nine. And when you want them back early — well, you'll have to explain yourself. Les Gardiens of Silence is an app blocker with a personality: six guardians, each with their own idea of what counts as a good reason to unblock. ONE TAP FROM YOUR WIDGET The Home Screen widget blocks your apps with one tap — for anywhere from 30 minutes to forever. No opening the app, no ceremony. Tap, and it's quiet. BLOCKS THAT FOLLOW YOUR CALENDAR Choose the calendars that count and every event becomes a block — meetings, focus time, dinner. Set weekly schedules too. You plan once, and les Gardiens keep the plan. THE EXIT INTERVIEW Need your blocked apps back early? Make your case to your guardian. Say what you need to do and for how long — a real reason earns a timed unlock, while boredom, habit, and "just checking" get a raised eyebrow. No verdict comes instantly: your reason has to survive a little probing first. Choose who stands guard — three levels of stubbornness: from Théo, a former spin instructor who cheers every honest reason, to Céleste, who treats your unlock like an expense report, to Ernst, who replies in German and has never once been in a hurry. ACCOUNTABILITY, À DEUX Pair with someone you trust. To unblock early, send them a request — they approve or decline, and you get a moment to think twice. You both see what's blocked and how much of each block was kept, and can send one cheer a day. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-up, nothing that identifies you. • Guardian conversations run on Apple's on-device AI by default. • Pairing with a friend uses an anonymous identity, and what you write to each other is end-to-end encrypted. • Your calendar is read on-device and never uploaded. • No trackers, no selling of data. No ad networks. Blocking is built on Apple's Screen Time technology, so the app will ask for that permission before it can block anything. The on-device AI requires a recent iPhone. If yours doesn't support it, the guardian can talk through a secure cloud service instead. Silence is gardé.
