Pholu is a private memory archive for couples and families. Photos, voice notes, video and the stories behind them, gathered into one place built to be handed down — not posted. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Keep photos, video, voice journal entries and written notes in one archive • Read your life back in order: a timeline, a year view, a memory calendar, and what you captured on this day in past years • Ask Pholu a question in your own words — every answer names the memories it came from, so you can open them and check • See everywhere you have been on a 3D globe, and open a country to read what happened there • Keep the people in your memories, and build a family tree centred on you — relatives who will never install an app can still be in it • Share a space with a partner, your children or your grandparents, and let everyone add their own version of the same afternoon • Import the photos and videos already on your phone, without duplicating what you have already brought in • Encrypted backup, restore, and transfer to a new device • Search your whole archive by title, text, tag, person, place or date PRIVATE BY DESIGN Memories are encrypted before being stored or transmitted remotely, with keys derived on your device from your password and recovery phrase. Pholu's servers never see those keys. On your phone, decrypted data lives in Pholu's private app storage, protected by your device lock and the operating system. We say that plainly rather than claim your archive is encrypted everywhere at all times. No advertising SDKs. No third-party analytics. No behavioural tracking. The Privacy Centre shows exactly where each memory lives: on this device only, in your private backup, or shared. Imported memories stay on your device until you choose to share one.
